Marielle-Franco Platz AR Gallery Kreuzberg, Berlin
The Marielle-Franco Platz was founded in front of New York Bethanien on the last day of the Gira Festival in 2019. Marielle was a congresswoman from Brazil murdered by political enemies in March 2018.
The plate sign that makes homage to her was vandalized in Brazil and in Berlin. Because of that, it came to me the idea of creating a space that vandals can not destroy, by building a site-specific augmented reality experience in Kreuzberg that informs people of the relevance of Marielle Franco in the current Brazilian political scenario
The AR gallery was developed in March 2022 using Unity and Blender.
